Hmmm.. inspired by this message I just went and checked out Friends Reunited, to look at an ancient post I made years ago.
Found that you have to register to look at ANYTHING, I may have written down my old details, but can't be bothered to look them up.
Now I'm left feeling a bit violated - they have some of my details on there, completely dead as I'm sure it comes from when I was doing my masters or maybe even my degree. And the details of that account are now forgotten so I can't even look at them let alone change them. So anyone logging on to my schools will get my name pumping up the list, even though I am completely unavailable.
I suppose it would be worse if it was publicly available and any Tom, Dick or Harry stalker could stroll into it. But I think it's bad both ways. Not that I can be bothered to think about it enough to see if there's an exploitation-free solution...
